Right to Sight and Health, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization was established in March of 2007.

Our mission is to provide medical and eye-care to indigenous populations without such care available to them, due to extreme poverty and/or a total lack of health-care at the area where they live. Ours is a non-religious organization, and we treat people in need regardless of their nationality, race, ethnicity and religion.

Specifically, we provide the following services:

  1. Treating blindness – mainly secondary to cataract – and other acute and chronic eye-diseases by surgery and by medications; providing eye-glasses for the needy, and also providing basic health and eye-health education to patients.
  2. Providing medical and eye-care education for the local health personnel, including doctors, nurses, medical students and community health care workers in the form of lectures, joint clinics, consultations and one-on-one teaching.
  3. Donating medical supplies, including medications, eye-drops, and diagnostic instruments, and ophthalmic equipment, including surgical supplies. We also donate educational material in the form of books and CD-s.

These services are rendered totally free of charge, with the highest professional level possible, and with appropriate efficiency, skill, commitment and dedication. We function on a volunteer basis and we have no paid employees
